Yeah, I guess? I'm just trying not to creep anyone out.
That makes sense! [...] Going out in the field was kinda fun (don't get me wrong! it was very SERIOUS and DANGEROUS!) and now staying in my shop and barely using any of my powers ever again seems kinda anticlimactic.

[...] I guess? I just don't want to be treated any differently. I mean, people are fine(?) with the stuff they already can see, but I don't know where they draw the line, you know? I don't want to push my luck!
I don't think so, no. I'm not allowed to? But maybe there's other fun stuff I could be doing?

In the afternoon, a binder full of hand-written, color-coded notes and a small box full of honey camomile cakelets are left outside of Linus' door! The notes are a detailed, helpfully organized outline of reading materials recommended by Director Thornton for the written portion of the upcoming Leadership Evaluation. There's also a note tucked into the front pocket of the binder, which reads:
Hey Linus! I know you said you're not the study group type and maybe this won't help, but I figured it can't hurt? These are from some materials about tactics and leadership that Director Thornton recommended. I feel like going through them brought up a lot of things I've never thought about! Maybe that'll be true for you too. Either way, you've got this!!
The cakes are honey and camomile. I was going to make a 'busy bee' joke here since I know you've been working hard, but it's really lame so I'll just say I hope you like them instead. (I promise I had someone else try them too.)
Anyway, good luck next week!

No problem! I'm really glad! You don't have to save them for any time in particular, though. [...] Unless that's motivating?
I think I'm going to try to cover a little of everything over the next few days. So! Maybe we could practice together some? I'm sure I could learn a lot from you on agility and maneuverability and all.
Is there anything you do to [...] get yourself psyched up?You probably don't get scared in the first place, but

[...] If you're sure! [...] It always feels like a lot to ask. Since I can't try it myself. But I'm always careful to follow the recipes and it's worked out so far.
I'd appreciate that! I probably don't have much to offer you, specifically. But more experience with more kinds of people and more kinds of powers can't hurt, at least.
[...] We can brainstorm, then! I'm sure one of us will come up with something.

You're in! Thanks.
[...] That's the plan. I'll have to use them if I want any chance of keeping up. [......] It's really okay?
It's your birthday soon? When? [...] And Teenage Linus better just slow his roll and get ready to be impressed by how far Adult Linus has come! Hard work pays off!
